Laura May Lovejoy, age 79, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Kettering Grandview. She was born in Cedarville, Ohio on October 27, 1945, the daughter of Charles and Cleo (Webb) Walters.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her son: Michael A. Lovejoy and siblings: Charles Walters, Sandy Jaynes and Joyce Ison.

She is survived by her loving husband: Arthur K. Lovejoy, whom she married June 11, 1966; her sons: Anthony A. (Anita) Lovejoy of Xenia and Charles A. (Antje) Lovejoy of Beavercreek; step-daughter: Sharon (Charles) Rowlett of New Lebanon; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; life-long friends: Sharon Williams and Ruby Parker; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Laura graduated from Greeneview High School, Class of 1964. She was a bus driver with Xenia Community Schools. Laura enjoyed playing bingo and was a kind hearted person, always ready to help. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. William O. Schwochow officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
