Lawrence E. "Sib" Sibley, age 85, of Xenia passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at his residence. He was born May 10, 1938 in Gallia County, Ohio the son of Clyde E. and Florence E. (Angell) Sibley.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by a daughter, and siblings: infant sister, Estelle Sibley; Lucille Madsen, Ruth Mulligin, Myra Grooms, Mary Hoeburg, Charles, Ray and Joe Sibley.

Lawrence is survived by his sisters: Carol Johnson and Jean (Jack) Terrell; a brother: Steve Sibley; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Lawrence is also survived by extended family, Rick and Barbara Miller and their 6 children, whom he considered his own grandchildren; and a son: Donnie and his family.

Lawrence had been self employed contractor, specializing in siding and windows. He also worked with Neal Lovett as an electrician. He had previously worked at Morris Bean Co. Lawrence loved to mushroom hunt and fish and some of his favorite fishing encounters took place with is brother, Joe when they lived together on Okeechobee Lake, Florida. He loved to work with his hands building things and tinkering around.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, January 12th  at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Services entrusted to McColaugh Funeral Home.
