Leiah Janelle Kirkbride, age 16, of Bowersville, Ohio passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 2009 in Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her father: Danny Kirkbride; grandfather: Carl "Chip" Roderer; grandmother: Carol Kirkbride; great grandparents: Lois and Kenneth Reed and Jennie and George Keiter; also her service dog: Arcee.

Leiah is survived by her mother: Ashley Leston; brother: Landen Kirkbride; sister: Alexis McManes (Jevon Johnson); niece: Milani Johnson; grandmother: Michelle Roderer (Kevin Brashear); grandfather: Dan Kirkbride; aunts and uncles: Tony & Lindsey Roderer; Shane & Meagan Roderer; Donny & Shelley Kirkbride; cousins: Mia, Mason, Kinsley, Kaden, Nolan and Grayson Roderer; Great aunt and uncle: Mike & Tammy Reed; special great uncle: Tom Leston; good friend and therapist: Danny Allen; and good friend and sitter: Arynne Housier.

Leiah enjoyed trips with her family to Outer Banks and Wal-Mart. She also liked to listen to music and watch cartoons.

Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Monday, January 12th at McColaugh Massie Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville, OH.
