Linda C. Bope, age 79, of Cedarville, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Jamestown Place. She was born November 13, 1946 in Clifton, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Fannie (Harphant) Brakeall.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years: J. Gregory Bope (April 27, 2026); son: Eric Hanson; brothers: Richard, Dale, Daniel and Johnny Brakeall.

She is survived by her children: Fred (Chris) Hanson; Michelle (Bob) Brandenburg; William Hanson (Mara Jones); Bertha Shaw; Charles (Melissa) Hanson; Christopher (Rachel) Duncan and Dale Hanson; sister: Debra Johnson;  21 grandchildren: Linda, Mary, Joey, Tiffany, Dylan, Julie, Frankie, Jason,Michael J, Matt, Charlie, Kyle, Jessica, Samantha, David, Ashley, Braeden, Brooklyn, Trent, Dean, and Richard; many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda had been a cook at Brownings Campground in Versailles, Indiana. She retired from Kroger where she had worked in the Deli in Versailles, Indiana before moving back to Ohio, and working in the Beavercreek location. Linda enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and cross stitching. She was an avid Elvis fan and Coca Cola collector. Linda especially loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. She will be buried at Clifton Cemetery.
