Louis Leroy Lane III, age 57, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. He was born June 19, 1968 in Xenia, the son of Glenda (Mockabee) and Louis L. Lane, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his son: Lance Ford and Aunt Clarice Porter.

"LL" is survived by his children: Erica Lane of NC; Kendra Lane, DeAndre' Lane, Dajah Johnson and Deven Lane, all of Xenia; Ciera Lane of Indianapolis; sister:  Teresa Lane Nooks (Kenneth) also of Xenia; 8 grandchildren; nieces: Lameka Dunbar, Tiara Dunbar and Akera Nooks; special friends: Roxanne Dixon; as well as numerous friends.

He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching soap operas. "LL" had a great sense of humor. He had a deep love for his family and took great pride in his grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held 12 Noon Thursday, March 19th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Genna Caldwell officiating. Public visitation will begin at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. He will be interred at Cherry Grove Cemetery at a later date.
