Marva D. Hargrave, age 67, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her residence. She was born February 25, 1954 in Xenia the daughter of Benson D. and Helen E. (Carson) Hargrave.

Marva was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: James F., Benson D. Jr., Herschell H., and John D. Hargrave, Sr., sisters: Linda, Lela and Janet Hargrave and Priscilla Simpson.

She is survived by her sister: Gayenelle (Kevin) Sloan and Edward (Louise) Hargrave, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marva had been a faithful member of the Bethel Temple Church, where she held various offices and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a preschool teacher at the YMCA and Days of Discovery. She was also a substitute teacher at the Xenia Community Schools. Just prior to her retirement, Marva worked as a Homecare assistant with Towards Independence.

A celebration of Marva's life will be held 12 Noon on Saturday, March 26 ^th at Bethel Temple, 914 E. Third St., Xenia. She was interred privately with her sisters at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Xenia. (Services in care of McColaugh Funeral Home, Xenia.)
