Mary Jane Groman (nee Seyler), 94, of Xenia, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, after a brief illness.  She was born in Alma, NE, to Paul and Elizabeth Seyler.  Mary Jane was a farm girl at heart, learning to drive the tractor at age 9.  She taught first grade for 30 years, retiring from the Rome, NY, city school district. She enjoyed traveling, watching sports, and being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was married to Rev. Gilbert A. Groman for sixty years before his passing in 2015.  She is also predeceased by a son, John G. Groman; by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Rebecca Seyler, and by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Marlene Seidel.

She is survived by her son Mark R. (Carol) Groman of Xenia, OH; her daughter-in-law Mary P. Groman of Aurora, CO; and by her sister and brother-in-law Jean and Robert Standish of Aurora, CO.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your church's mission fund.
