Michael Joe Eckles, age 67 of Xenia, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 27, 2024 at his residence. He was born October 27, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Billy Joe Eckles and Lura (Collins) Gambill, both deceased.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda (Lunsford) Eckles, whom he married January 14, 1978; their children: Michael Jason Eckles and Jamie Kira Lee Eckles; grandchildren: Logan and Lucas Stillwell; Zoe, McKayla and Sebastian Eckles and Skylar Campbell; sisters: Audrey (Danny) Starnes and Rhonda Miller and sisters-in-law: Donna (Ron) Mills and Diana (Todd) Blocher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael retired from Belcan in Cincinnati where he had been a tool engineer. He proudly served in the US Navy. He was an avid sports fan, loyally supporting the Bengals, Buckeyes and the Reds. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson until his health no longer allowed.

He will be buried at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia with military honors 12:30 PM Friday, November 1, 2024 with Pastor Wesley Miller officiating.
