Michael A. Washburn, age 75, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Mike was born January 9, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother: Betty J. Cunningham.

He is survived by his children: Eric Washburn of Lebanon and Kimberly Marlin (Michael Day) of Xenia; grandchildren: Kaleb, Jacob, Jacquelynn and Erica Washburn and Dalton Marlin. Mike also leaves behind his beloved boxers, Harley and Sable.

Mike graduated from Xenia High School, Class of 1968. He proudly served in the US Army, being stationed in VietNam. He continued to serve in the US National Guard. Mike retired from the Greene County Engineer's Department after over 30 years of service. He was part of the stage crew with his son at First Choice Staging.

Mike was a friend of Bill W. and proudly completed the 12 Steps. He had an amazing sense of humor and took great pleasure in pulling off the best pranks. Mike was loved by many friends and never had an enemy. His friendly smile will be missed.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Wednesday, July 10th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held 11 AM Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the National Cemetery, Dayton.
