Morris F. "Moose" Newsom, Jr., age 75, of Xenia, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at Miami Valley South Hospital. He was born August 19, 1950 in Xenia, the son of Morris F. Sr. and Betty (Hall) Newsom.

Moose was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: James Newsom.

He is survived by his nephew: Phillip (Heather) Newsom of Riverside; great nieces and nephews: Mackenzie, Michael, Devin and Julian; aunts and uncles: Jack (Carol) Hall and Patricia (Randy) Wallace; as well as many cousins.

Moose loved cars, racing and fishing. He also loved football, especially the Buckeyes and the Browns.

A celebration of his life will be held 1:30 PM -3:30 PM Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Xenia FOP, 258 Dayton Ave., Xenia, with Pastor Richard Buford speaking at 2 PM.
