Olita Joy Muterspaw age 92 passed away on May 22, 2021. She was born September 17, 1928
in Xenia, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard A. Muterspaw in 2004,
parents Elden R. Kersey and Esther (Massie) Kersey, sisters Janice Harvey and Nona Sirek.
She is also survived by her sons Michael H. (Cathy) Muterspaw and Mark A. (Teri) Muterspaw;
grandchildren Justin A. (Erin) Muterspaw, Chad R. (Betsy) Muterspaw, Holly E. (Paul) Tocknell,
Ali (Brian) Pullins, and Alex M. Muterspaw, Jodi L. (Matt) Bowman, Johnny K. Puckett, Dan K.
(Tracy) Harner, and Travis Gall; along with many great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Xenia and long time
member of the Spring Valley Senior Citizens, Old Timers Club, and Xenia Grandmothers Club.
She was an outstanding cook, baker, and was famous for her chicken noodles and apple pies.
Generous to a fault, she supported many organizations and charities including Make a Wish,
Feed the Children, Boys Club, ASPCA, Greene County Sheriff, Christian ministries and several
others. She loved living in the country and helping her late husband with farm chores. More than
anything she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service. She will be buried with her husband at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
