Pamela Lynn Waits, born June 10,1961 in Xenia Ohio. She was proceeded in death by her parents Kenneth Waits and Avanell Waits, an infant sister Carolyn Waits, and a nephew Kenny Waits. She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Rob) Adams of Xenia, her brother Dale (Mandy) of Cape Coral, nieces and nephews Ryan Hoover, Andrea Malavich, Lauren Mikesell, Amanda Devitt, and Tyler Waits. She is also survived by 6 great-nieces and nephews, three very dear aunts Yvonne Metcalf, Juanita Cruea, and Jeanne Owens, and her loving Toward Independence Family. Pam was also loved by many dear cousins and friends who were all just like family to her.

Pam graduated from Ft. Myers high school and resided with her parents in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area from 1973 to 2006.   She attended several programs after her graduation through the Lee County Developmental Disability program. In 2009 Pam became part of the Toward Independence (TI) family (an organization supporting people with intellectual disabilities). She resided in Xenia in a TI group home under the loving supervision of TI staff and participated in daily programs at the TI office in Xenia.

Pam was an avid fan of playing Go Fish and watching the Food Channel and loved watching all of the cooking shows. She loved being in the kitchen and was always there to help. She was a joy and a delight to all, and her laugh and beautiful smile will get deeply missed.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Glen Helen Nature Preserve (Vernet Ecological Center) 405 Corry St., Yellow Springs, Ohio. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 with the celebration service to begin at 4:30.
