Patricia Aldora Harris, age 93, of Xenia, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born February 6, 1931 in Xenia, the daughter of William and Georgia (Luttrell) Merriman.

Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russel Harris in 2023; children: Dennis Harris, Debra Thompson and Donald Harris; 2 great granddaughters; 1 great great grandson; brothers: Chuck Merriman and Bill (Janet) Merriman; 2 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law.

She is survived by children: David Harris of Xenia and DeAnn Richards of Jamestown; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren with two coming soon; brother: Tom (Jan) Merriman of Xenia, sister: Sue (Paul) Morris of Xenia, sister-in-law: Leta Thordsen of Cedarville; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat married Russ when she was just 16 years old and they were married just shy of 76 years together. They had 5 children and fostered over 35 children, with the majority of those being special needs. She had been an aide at Greene Memorial Hospital and volunteered with the Red Cross. Pat was always involved with children, helping with the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls and 4-H. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics and camping with family. She had been an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church holding many positions including Sunday School Teacher, Historian and Vacation Bible School instructor. She also volunteered at Xenia Community Schools in the Clinic and in the elementary classrooms.

Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Evangelical Methodist Church, 195 W. Third St. with Pastor Weyman McGuire officiating. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Friday until the time of service at the church. Burial to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
