Patty Lee Leighly, age 59, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Hillsboro, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born February 6, 1963 in Xenia, the daughter of Carol (Smith) and Blaine Thomas Leighly. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by an infant brother: Blaine Thomas Leighly, Jr.; son-in-law: Christopher Ryan Barr; brothers-in-law: Bob Lee and JC Campbell; and her beloved dog: Dan.

She was a devoted mother, adoring grandmother and loving sister. She loved turtles and Betty Boop. She also enjoyed crafting. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Patty is survived by 5 children: Amanda Barr of Hillsboro; Keri Stewart (Robert Hixson) of Xenia; Levi Noland of Hillsboro; Jason Mellotte of Xenia and Aaron (Felicia) Mellotte of Xenia; 6 grandchildren: Kilynn and Ayden Hixson; Macie Mellotte, Isabelle Barr, Zayda Moon and Dylan Clark; brother: Rick (Ann) Leighly and sisters: Becky Lee of New Carlisle; Kathy Campbell of Huber Heights and Robin Leighly of Xenia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Patty's Life will be held Sunday, February 12th from 2-4 PM at Xenia Community Center, 1265 W. Second St., Xenia. Patty would have wanted everyone to attend. Please feel free to come as you are. Formal attire is not required. She will be interred with her parents during private services at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
