Phyllis Jean Rose, 94, of Jamestown, died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Jamestown Place Health and Rehab.

She was born December 26, 1929, in Dayton the daughter of Wilbur and Florence Irene (Schleinitz) Metzger.  Phyllis was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2402 and served as a Trustee and Junior Vice-President.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Dennis L. and David. M Duncan; 14 grandchildren; step-daughter, Charlette Ann Rose; and step-son Leslie Jay (Jackie) Rose.  She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Rose; sons, Jeffrey and Timothy Duncan; 2 brothers; and parents, Wilbur and Florence Irene (Schleinitz) Metzger.

Funeral service will be 11:30 AM Monday, April 22nd, at McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia, where visitation will be held 10:30 AM until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Bear Creek-Hillgrove Cemetery, Dayton.
