Richard E. "Rich" Barber, age 60, of Xenia, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1964 in Nelsonville, Ohio the son of Floyd and Rhea M. (Evans) Barber.

Rich was preceded in death by the love of his life, Beverly D. (White) Barber.

He is survived by his children: Jasson M. (Ami) Henderson of Kettering and Jessica M. (Madi) Allen of Xenia; grandchildren: Jacob, Nathan, Caleb, Joshua, Paxton, Alexander and Samantha; and a brother: Michael (Carrol) Barber of Bellbrook; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Rich graduated from Nelsonville-York High School, Class of 1982 and Hocking Tech College in 1986. He was an Electronics Technician with Systems Research Labs in 1987, then with Curtiss Wright for the last 27 years of his career. He loved the outdoors, camping, boating and grilling. He also enjoyed racing, both NASCAR and NHRA Dragsters. Regardless of what he was doing, he liked doing it better with a cold Milwaukee's Best Light in his hand.

He will be interred with his wife at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
