Richard A.
Fullen
Apr 4, 1959 — Aug 30, 2025
Xenia
Richard A. Fullen, 66, passed away peacefully in the arms of his family on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio, at 6:47PM.
Richard was born on April 4, 1959, in Xenia, Ohio, to Willis "Jack" Fullen and Jessie (Stafford) Fullen.
Richard worked street maintenance for the City of Xenia for 31 years where he retired in 2012. He held titles much more significant than the one he had at work. He was known as a great son, uncle, brother, friend, and coach. He coached in the Xenia Wee Bucs system for 15+ years. He was influential to many young men and often a father-figure for kids on and off the football field. His proudest titles were Papaw, Grandpa, and Dad. He was a present, dependable father that loved with his whole heart and his son's best friend (dawgs4life).
His hobbies included driving his old 1963 Chevy C10 truck around woofing on people trying to draw attention, and rooting on his favorite football team on Sunday, the Cleveland Browns.
Though Richard is gone, his impact and legacy will live on through all that he touched. He was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed. May his memory burn bright for eternity.
Richard is survived by his son, Jimmy Fullen (wife Ashley Fullen); daughter, Tracie McClanahan (husband Bobby McClanahan); 2 grandchildren, Harper James Fullen, Miranda Benson (husband Justin Benson); sister, Sheryl Bowman (husband Ernie Bowman); brother-in-law, Kirk Roades; best friend, Eddie Kingsolver (wife Linda Kingsolver).
Richard is also survived by niece, April Bowman; nephews, Ernie Bowman, Doug Roades, Travis Roades, Shawn Roades, and Sam Fullen.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Willis "Jack" Fullen and Jessie Fullen; brother, Willie Fullen (wife Terea Fullen); sister, Athena Roades (husband Kirk Roades); grandson, Ronnie Pyles III.
Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, September 3rd, at McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia, where visitation will be held from 10:30 until the time of service. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia.
