Richard E. Jackson, aged 69, of Xenia, passed away on November 15, 2023, in his residence. He was born on August 7, 1954, in Greenfield, Ohio, to Coleman and Ella Louise Jackson. Richard proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. After 40 years of service, he retired from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, where he worked as a network engineer. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.   Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Dick Everhart. He is survived by his wife, Kathy L. (King) Jackson; children, Amanda Bussey, Jennifer Wynn, and Robert Jackson; sisters, Betsy (Jim) Brady and Wanda Jackson; brothers, John Jackson, Tim (Peggy) Jackson, and Tom (Mary) Jackson; and seven grandchildren.  A service to honor Richard will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:30 AM in the McColaugh Funeral Home located at 826 N Detroit St, Xenia. The service will be officiated by Rev. Paola Bellini, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. The burial will take place at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens, Springboro.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Crossroads Hospice, Harmony Cares 3033 Kettering Blvd Suite 220 Moraine, Ohio 45439, or to The Evangelical United Methodist Church at 195 W Third St, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
