Rick Furay, a devoted husband, father, son, and friend, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and love for his family and community.

Rick proudly spent many years working at Antioch Bookplate, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his coworkers through his hard work and commitment, and most recently he was employed at the Xenia City Schools. In addition to his career, Rick dedicated himself to serving others as a firefighter with several area fire departments. His willingness to answer the call and help those in need reflected his courageous spirit and deep sense of duty.

Above all, Rick cherished his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Jolie, and a proud father to his son Scott and daughter Shannon. Rick's greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved most. He is proceeded in death by his father Eddie Furay.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jolie; his beloved son Scott and his daughter Shannon; and his mother, Patsy who will forever hold his memory in their hearts; brother, Jimmy Furay; nephews, Michael and Jason Furay.

Rick will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the positive impact he made on the lives of those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Private services will be held at a later date.  McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia is serving the family.
