Robert L. "Larry" Harner, age 77, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born May 29, 1944, the son of Robert W. and Bernice Gene (Turvy) Harner.

Larry was a graduate of Xenia High School. He was the owner of RL Harner Excavating and retired from UPS after 31 years. He loved fishing in Curtis, Michigan. He also enjoyed gardening and tinkering in his barn. Larry especially loved spending time with his family and friends and having fun.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret A. "Peg" Harner; and a nephew: JB Murray.

He is survived by his daughter: Nicole Harner (Matthew Leeds) of Bowersville; grandchildren: Hailie and Addison Chambliss; James and Heather Matthews; great grandchildren: Jameson and Ryder Matthews; a sister and brother-in-law: Jacqueline "Jackie" and Jim Murray; nephew: Jarrett (Teri) Murray; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.

Services will be held 1 PM Friday, September 10 ^th at McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Mark Brooks officiating. Visitation will be held 11:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
