Ronald W. Carpenter, age 85, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in Wallingford, KY on August 30, 1937 to William F. and Stella (Hedges) Carpenter.

After graduating from Fleming County High School in 1955, he joined the US Navy and served on a guided missile cruiser and seaplane tender. He moved to Ohio and started his plumbing apprenticeship in 1960, becoming a journeyman in 1964 until retiring in 1997.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alice (Sanner) Carpenter, whom he married in 1980, and brothers, Bill, Rickie and Jack.

He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Carpenter and Linda (Ronnie) Brown; children: Kimberly Martin, Linda Phillips, Greg (Angela) Carpenter, Christopher (Stacy) Carpenter, Michael (Lisa) Carpenter and Michael (Jackie) Ward; grandchildren: Scott and Kyle (Paige) Martin, Jennifer (Chad) Myers, DJ (Lauren) Phillips, Sarah (Matt) Malott, Elizabeth Matherson; Jessica, Samantha, Erin, Eric, Bo, Blake and Bryce; great grandchildren: Madison (Alex) Stover, Will Myers and Hannah & Garrett Clark.

Ron was a very special man and will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.

He was interred privately at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio.
