Rosalie Swearingen, age 95, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 23, 1925 in Adams County, Ohio one of 10 children born to George and Nannie (Guthrie) Shumaker.

In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. Swearingen; son: Gene Swearingen; daughter-in-law: Lynn Swearingen; son-in-law: Gary Sproull and 8 siblings.

She is survived by her children: Christine (Donald) Webster of Columbus; Sharon Sproull of Xenia; Lee Swearingen of Wilmington, and John (Tammy) Swearingen of Kettering; sister: Olive Johnson of Xenia; as well as numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She had been a dietary aide at Greenewood Manor and a member of the Bowersville Church of Christ for over 60 years.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St, Xenia with Brent Smith, Minister of Bowersville Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home Graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday at Cherry Fork Cemetery, Cherry Fork, Adams County, Ohio.
