Ruth L. Anderson, 94, of Xenia died, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Wright Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born June 7, 1931, in Athens County, OH, the daughter of Edgar and Lorena (Christian) Souders.  Ruth began working as a cook with the Xenia Schools and advanced to the position of Teachers Aide retiring after 26 years.  Ruth served as the Pastor Parish Chair at the Evangelical United Methodist Church.  She loved quilting, making noodles and volunteering at the Common Cup Ministry.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Raymond W. Anderson; daughter, Rita Brown; son, Tim (Jody) Anderson; grandchildren. Brandon (Whitney) Long, Elizabeth (Ryan) Fromm, Jennifer (Chris) Roberts and Timothy (Mallory) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Ian, Brady and AJ Long, Kaitlyn and Alex Fromm, Madelyn and Emma Roberts; and sister, Nina (Courtney) Haning.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Mike Brown.

Graveside service will be held1:00 PM Tuesday, May 19th, at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.  McColaugh Funeral Home is serving the family.
