Sherman R. Snow Sr., age 77, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 26, 1944 in Sabina, Ohio.

Sherman was preceded in death by his father: Sherman Snow; his mother and step father: Frances (Redkey) and James Foley.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah L. (Bowermaster) whom he married February 11, 1967; his sons: Sherman Jr. (Maria) of Xenia and Stephen (Stephanie) of Green Cove, FL; 6 granddaughters: Amanda (Dustin) Wahlrab; Erica Snow; Tasha Snow; Shara (Chris) Baker; Shelby and Samantha Snow; great grandchildren: Elijah; MJ; Aliyah; Amaya; and Xander; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Sherman graduated from Xenia High School and retired from Navistar after 35 years of service. He had a 1970 Chevelle, which he owned since it was 6 months old, and enjoyed taking it to car shows. He was an avid reader, especially enjoying the Bible and political documents. Both topics he enjoyed debating with people. When his boys were growing up, he spent weekends taking them hunting and fishing and spending time with them. He was a devoted husband and father, and good provider for his family.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, October 14, 2021 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. Ron Swiger officiating. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home. He will be buried in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
