Shirley Ann Reed , age 78, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 29, 1943 in Beaver, Ohio.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Reed; father and step mother: Clyde and Melba Bliss; a daughter: Wanda Morris; and the aunt and uncle who raised her as their own: Rosswell and Geraldine Bliss.

Shirley is survived by children: Geraldine (Eugene) Hamilton of Mansfield, OH; Clifford (Mary) Cox of Williamsburg, OH; Donald Cox of Xenia; daughter-in-law: Michelle Friend of Riverside; son-in-law: Phillip Morris of Xenia; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Shirley had been the Laundry Supervisor at Greene Oaks Nursing Home for 27 years, and reluctantly retired in 2011 due to health issues. She was a very kind person who never met a stranger. She especially loved her family and her fur babies.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
