Stephen Roy Gerhardt, age 74, of Xenia, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at his residence. Steve was born October 13, 1950, the son of Charles R. and Anna Belle (Sowers) Gerhardt, both deceased.

Steve graduated from Xenia High School, Class of 1969. While in high school, Steve excelled in football and track. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Steve was a very accomplished artist, specializing in pen and ink architectural drawings. Steve was a brick mason. He also provided childcare at the OSSO/OVCH and the Clark County Children's Home. He provided a positive approach to helping children, encouraging them to be better versions of themselves.

Steve is survived by his wife: Phyllis (Miller); daughters: Sarah (Scott) Laubie and Katherine (Ralph) Robinson; and son: Justin Miller; siblings: Linda McCann, Kenneth Gerhardt and Debbie Pitzer; grandchildren, Parker, Braden, Kellan, Cooper and Myles Laubie, Vivian and Reese Robinson.

Memorial service will be held 5:00 PM, Monday, September 8th, at McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia, where a gathering will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
