Obituary

Susan L Luttrell of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday on June 9, 2026. She was born May 23, 1945, to Edwin and Martha Luttrell in Xenia, Ohio.

Susan was a teacher at Tecumseh Elementary School in Xenia for 33 years in a long and fulfilling career. She loved being a teacher and loved her students. She tried to keep track of them and was proud of their accomplishments. Many of her students are now her friends on Facebook. Susan had a wonderful sense of humor and her laugh was infectious. She was an incredibly generous person and supported many different organizations. Susan was especially generous when it came to her nieces and nephews, often treating them as her own. She loved kids and had a "Secret Santa" (her brother David) deliver surprises to disadvantaged students for many years. Susan loved hosting family and guests at the family's Indian Lake vacation home on Shawnee Island.

Susan graduated from Xenia High School in 1963. She obtained her bachelor's degree in education from Central State University in 1968 and a master's degree from Wright State University in 1971.
