Thomas N. Cousins, age 88, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born February 10, 1938, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Curtis and Wilma (Crockett) Cousins. Thomas worked for many years as a chef and was widely known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and love for serving others. He attended United AME Church in Xenia and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Thomas is survived by his children, Tammi Cousins-Alexander, Teresa (TC) Cousins, Philip Cousins, and Phyllis (Kitten) Cousins; grandchildren, Tricha Nared, Tera Allen, Josh Cousins, RoShawn Cousins, Arie Jones, Riyan Stills-Coy, Megan Fisher, Courtney Cousins, Thomas Cousins, Teresa Cousins, and Andrew Cousins; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and his nephew, Michael Cousins Brown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Cousins; sister, Harriett Brown; brothers, Dallas Byrd, Robert Louis Byrd, and Phillip Byrd; and grandson, Tristan Brown.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Wilberforce Community Center from 1 PM until whenever you're finished celebrating.A rrangements are entrusted to McColaugh Funeral Home in  Xenia.
