Vivian June Molden, age 96, of Xenia, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at Jamestown Health and Rehab. She was born July 26, 1926 in Octa, Ohio the daughter of Artie and Bessie (Jones) Potts.

Her mother died in a house fire when Vivian was just two years old. She and her sisters were raised by her father and grandparents. Vivian took good care of her family. She was feisty until the very end, though some might say stubborn.

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Avon; her son: Larry Molden; 3 sisters: Naomi Houser, Marge Hoey, and Virginia Baker and an infant brother, Eugene Potts.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Karen Molden of Xenia; grandchildren: Beth Minda, Steve (Rosetta) Molden and Brenda (Danny) Stewart; 6 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Monday, June 19th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM Monday. She will be interred with her husband at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
