William A. "Bill" Cox, age 81, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Shawnee Estates. He was born in Cambridge, Ohio the son of Eva Lee (Rogers) and Milford G. Cox.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Cox in 2024; and his sister: Karen Lee Jones.

Bill is survived by his "boys:" Martin Lehotay and Marcus (Brandy) Lehotay; grandchildren: Brennan (Chelsey), Taylor, Dylan (Kaitlyn), and David (Lauren) Lehotay; Trevor (Cassidy) and Jarret Brundege; 4 great grandchildren: Skylar, Collins, Avery and Cade; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from Byesville High School. He was a hard worker, growing up on a dairy farm and working almost 30 years at the Cambridge State Hospital, where he met his wife. At the age of 22, he was involved in an accident that ultimately caused him the loss of both of his legs. Because of his strong faith in God and the support of his loving wife, he was able to continue to enjoy an active life. He was a member of Shawnee Hills Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and loved his boys and their families.

Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 22nd at McColaugh Massie Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville, Ohio.
