William E. Jones, Jr., age 85, of Xenia, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 15, 2021 at his residence. He was one of two sets of twins born to William E. Sr. and Clara Ruth (Ingram) Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: LaToyja Howard and son: Brian Jones; also siblings: Russell and Frank Jones (twins); Wilford, Theodore and his twin Elsie Jones; Cynthia Greene and Alameda Harshaw.

He is survived by his loving wife, Oma (Howard) Jones; children: Anita Jones; Lisa (David) McCraney; Tracie Lee; LaNeva (Mark) Turner; LaTonya Howard and LaQuetta (Greg) Howard; William E. (Yolanda) Jones III; Tracy (Melody) Jones; Jeff (Annette) Jones; LaMar Howard; James "Tony" (Cynthia) Cunningham; and sister: Patty Jo Ridgell; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill had retired as a foreman with Thompson Excavating. He loved fishing, and that included fishing with anyone who wanted to go with him. He also enjoyed motorcycles and cars and building motorhomes. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Services will be held 12 Noon Thursday, October 21st at New Life Christian Assembly with Pastor Robert Murphy officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service at the church. He will be interred at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Xenia.
